TBU® High-Speed Protectors (HSPs) - AEC-Q101 Compliant

TBU® High-Speed Protectors (HSPs)

Bourns TBU® High-Speed Protectors are Electronic Current Limiters (ECLs) that guard against lightning, power induction, power cross, Earth Potential Rise (EPR), and other energy surges.

The Bourns® TBU® HSP, a silicon-based, solid-state, resettable device is an effective barrier placed in series to block transient currents and provide voltage isolation.

Circuit protection is a critical parameter in some markets and applications. Bourns® TBU® HSPs combined with other Bourns® overvoltage products provide superior protection on surge events.

Bourns has introduced six new TBU® HSP product families. The TBU-DF series with two impulse voltages and five trigger currents; the TBU-CA with five impulse voltages and five trigger currents; the TBU-CA-Q series is the AEC-Q101 compliant variant of the TBU-CA series; the TBU-DT series with two impulse voltages and four trigger currents. The TBU-DB-Q with one impulse voltage, one trigger current and AEC-Q101 compliancy; the TBU-PL, a dual 50 ohm bidirectional device with four impulse voltages, two trigger currents, and an added feature for both voltage and current triggering; and the TBU-RS for RS-485 port protection and saving board space.
